My family unit took a road trip through Alberta for the second year in a row. My husband’s family has deep roots there. We enjoy hikes with waterfalls despite the elevation (please ignore my wheezing, I have prairie blood), local history, and visiting friends and family.
Bellevue Underground Mine
An excellent tour, with surprising stickers to match.
Exit through the gift shop
We hiked on the Johnston Canyon Trail (Lower AND Upper Falls), ate at the restaurant, and perused the gift shop:
These stickers appear to be from Stickers Northwest (Instagram), an American wholesaler.
The gift shop also sold the relevant Tourist Courts stickers:
Decorated bear-proof garbage bins
To my surprise, some travellers print stickers with links or QR codes to their social media and affix them to garbage bins in the national parks.
Shop Maker’s at the West Ed Mall
One of many Shop Maker’s locations (Instagram) selling goods from local makers:

Oilers pride
My husband’s contribution, from the Oilers store:
“I hear tell
About a heaven in Alberta
Where they've got all hell for a basement…”
Big Sugar (full song)
We’ll see you next time, Alberta. And remember, anything is popsicle.
