The original Muppet Show ran from 1976-1981 and spawned numerous spin-offs. (Happy 45th anniversary to The Muppet Movie today!) Some of the characters preceded the run - Kermit was created in 1955.
I first watched re-runs on YTV in the late 80s/early 90s.
I love the Muppets. I loved the touring exhibits, The World of Jim Henson: Muppets, Magic and Monsters (at the Manitoba Museum, Winnipeg, 1992) and The Jim Henson Exhibition: Imagination Unlimited (at the Museum of Pop Culture, Seattle, 2018), and the permanent Jim Henson Exhibition at the Museum of the Moving Image in (New York, 2019).
I love these cosplayers doing the Disco Frog. I would love to visit The Muppet Room. I love when friends share their Muppet-y crafts.
I love that multiple people tell me when Muppet news is released, and when Muppet-themed tweets go viral. (It doesn’t matter that I already saw it, share it again!)
Also: great illustrated art and stickers.
I’m going to be a little snobby and share pre-Disney only. This entry relies heavily on Muppet Wiki. They do great work.
Panini Trading Stickers were released in 1979 and 1995.

Many cereal box tie-ins.

Many one-offs:
Muppet Christmas Carol
One of several sets for Muppet Babies:
And I haven’t even mentioned the stationery! Wocka wocka!
That last wocka wocka nearly killed me. 😆 A post about Muppet stickers is what I didn’t know I needed today. 🧡
GREAT issue! Thank you for such a fun Friday treat. :)
