Being happy isn't having everything in your life be perfect. Maybe it's about stringing together all the little things… making those count for more than the bad stuff.
Maybe we just get through it... and that's all we can ask for.
You might think this quote is from one of the major influencers out there, like a Doyle or Brown, or maybe one of multiple series with a censored swear on the cover (lol hilarious). But it’s not, it’s from the first Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants movie, and it means a lot to me. Here are some of my little things:
About 9 p.m. in the city, on side streets where it’s quiet, in the winter, maybe November, and it’s dark except for the streetlights, and it’s not windy, and the freshly fallen untouched snow on the ground sparkles brilliantly as you walk past it.
When your cat is using the litter box and you happen to catch them in the act, and they have that thousand-yard stare into the distance.
Perfect fresh croissants, and if you want to get a little crazy and sprinkle salt on a pat of butter and slather your croissant in that tasty puddle too, I support it. Did you know that daily potatoes were in the Canada food guide until 1977? Live deliciously.
Movie and TV trivia at IMDb. A juicy trivia section floats my boat, even if it’s not fact checked. Stick it to my veins!
Gentle baby farts. When you feel a tiny vibration, no smell, no impending diaper change from a baby’s bum through their diaper, through their sleeper… just magnificent.
Listen you had me at daily potatoes. I could use a daily potato in my life.
Blogs are back, dontcha know? I’ve been thinking of starting a new one myself, but the market for cynical ramblings is already saturated. I like a daily potato myself, honestly.
